We hear a lot of feedback from all of our wonderful customers on a daily basis (thanks for that!) and one thing we hear pretty often is how great our treats are for training.
Joanna of San Diego says
Haku is so precious but he can be a real hyper brat sometimes! Your Luther’s Soul treats not only help to relax him with their calming ingredients, but any time he sees the box he will sit right away!
Robert of Azusa writes
We have 3 dogs in our home and your treats have helped us to get them house trained. As you can see in the picture, Oso and Smokey can’t take their eyes off them!
We encourage you to pick up a box and get to training your own dog today! Feel free to break out of the standard sit, stay, and speak. Try teaching your furry friend how to bow, spin, or give a kiss on command!

Murphy and Moxie LOVE Love Nuggets!
Posted by penina in HealthPro Buddies, HealthPro Treats, Love Nuggets on July 18, 2012
Tammy Jones took the time to send us a note about her experience with Love Nuggets, our glucosamine and chondroitin fortified treats, especially beneficial for larger and older dogs (usually about age five and up).
Tammy graciously allowed us to post her note here, and sent us these photos of her beautiful Fur Family.
I just bought a box of your love nuggets for two yellow labs (Moxie and Murphy). Murphy has food allergies so I’m always looking for healthy, all natural treats. I had never heard of them but I liked the ingredents. I will definetly buy them again. My dogs love them, they smell good, and the main reason… MADE IN AMERICA. My babies thank you for making such a good treat.
Tammy, thanks again for making our day. We love hearing from our customers, and we love to share stories and photos of customer pets! We really appreciate that you took time out of your day to drop us a line and share a few smiles.
Did you know? Love Nuggets are loaded with good stuff! In addition to the glucosamine and chondroitin combo, we’ve added flax seed, high in fiber, antioxidants, and Omega-3 fatty acids, and high quality Vitamin E, an excellent source of antioxidants that help the body improve circulation and functioning of your pet’s immune system.Multiple Breed Rescue of Ohio is the June Treat Giveaway Winner!

Say hi to the winners of our monthly Facebook drawing:
Multiple Breed Rescue of Elyria, Ohio!
They’ve got a whole lot of devoted fans who wasted no time spreading the word to flood our contest with nominations. After seeing some of the photos sent by their marketing/PR coordinator, Lauren Jacenty, we can see why people are so supportive. I’ve posted the one that made me burst into tears. MBR’s other before-and-after photos show physical hurt and healing, but Delilah, as you can see, is recovering stunningly from emotional hurt.
Can a dog suffer so much mistreatment and bounce back in a loving home? They have so much to teach us, and so much to give!
Multiple Breed Rescue is a network of foster homes working together to save as many dogs in need as possible. They will often rescue the ones from the pound who need medical attention, or that would have been overlooked by others. MBR also works tirelessly to advocate for stronger laws against abuse, neglect, dog fighting and puppy mills. They recently alerted local Sheriffs to an active dog fighting ring when they picked up two strays that were dumped with fresh bite wounds, and also took in three of the 27 dogs rescued from another ring.
MBR also works hard to educate the public about responsible pet ownership. Among their constants are advocating for spaying and neutering of pets, as well as general wellness.
We’ve sent them a case of Luther’s Natural Pet Treats, and we hope they’ll brighten everyone’s day! It’s an honor to be able to share something like this with their deserving family of rescues.
Gus Conquers “Doggy Breath”!
Posted by penina in FreshBites Dental Treats, HealthPro Buddies on June 20, 2012
Hey, bet you can tell just looking at Gus that he is a champ, can’t you!
His owner, Elizabeth, sent us a fantastic story about Gus, their search for a “doggy breath” solution and a reasonably scientific experiment she conducted. It made our day, so with her permission we’ve posted it here:
It’s not often that I come across a product and think to myself, “I’ve gotta contact the owners and tell them how important their product is in my family!”
My dog, Gus, loves your treats! He is a Dachshund and as most Dakel owners, we have struggled with his not-so-great breath for the last four years. We’ve tried all kinds of treats for his breath, and either they have not helped his halitosis, or more frequently, he would not eat them.
We happened across your FreshBites cookies and I can honestly say—this dog cannot get enough. And his breath is so much better! We have to limit how many “treats” he can have for a day. We’ve also tried them ourselves… not too shabby.
The tipping point that made me email you is what happened this afternoon: Gus likes Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Crackers more than anything in the world. He hears that bag rattle and he will come running for miles (I know, bad pet owner! No goldfish for a dog!). Today, I decided to test him. I put goldfish crackers in one hand and your cookie in the other. Three out of three times he picked your cookie and could care less about the goldfish. Thanks for making a healthy, tasty and breath- friendly snack that my dog loves. We are all happier because of it!
Elizabeth, we’re so grateful you took the time to drop us a line and let us know you (and Gus) like our treats. It’s customers like you that keep us going!
To try FreshBites for your dog, click here to order online today! They come in three flavors: Cinnamon Apple, Fresh Mint and Ginger Mint. We bring together the best all-natural, human-food-grade ingredients, including parsley seed, flax seed and pure canola oil to create the perfect combination of tarter-fighting texture and breath-freshening natural flavors!
Picky Pups Have Met Their Match!
Posted by michelle in HealthPro Buddies, Luv'A Bones on May 14, 2012
Have a picky eater on your hands? That’s not an issue for our products. Every day we get emails from dog owners telling us how their furry family member doesn’t usually touch baked treats but gobbled up ours! We thought we’d share one such story with you from Margarita, Gabe, and Princess:
“After trying your beautiful Luv’A Bones cookies (I mean literally try… my husband and I succumbed to their scent, and after reading the ingredients* and process, we tried some [ourselves] and loved them!). Needless to say our “Princess” who, by the way, is kind of picky about food, adored them!
We are so happy we found you guys. I’m kicking myself for not buying more that day…”
* Margarita and Gabe discovered that we use only human food grade ingredients in our pet treats!
A Better Pooper Scooper: Sanitary and Easy to Use
Posted by penina in Dispoz-a-Scoop, Pet science on April 23, 2012
Dogs may be man’s (and woman’s!) best friend, but the messes they leave behind certainly are not. We are all familiar with what dog owners go through in order to clean up after them. The popular “hand-in-bag” method is often seen on walks when it’s not feasible to carry around a pooper scooper. But did you know that you could be making yourself sick this way?
E. Coli and Dog Poop Scooping
Many people are unaware that using dog clean-up bags (or worse used plastic grocery bags) is not only a gross way to pick up dog poop, but it is also highly unsanitary. Plastic bags have microscopic holes that are still big enough for bacteria like E. coli to pass through. Yuck! That means using your hand in a bag to pick up the poop is exposing you to nasty germs that could land you in the hospital.
No-Touch with the Dispoz-A-Scoop
The great thing about the Dispoz-A-Scoop is that you never touch your dog’s poop! It has a cardboard handle that lets you maneuver the wire-framed bag. Easily glide the bag under the mess, then close the bag by using a downward motion with the handle. Then toss! Never get the warm, squishy dog poop feeling using a plastic bag again!
User Friendly and Eco-Friendly Too!
Not only is the Dispoz-A-Scoop sanitary and less embarrassing than other dog pick-up bags, it also creates less waste.
You will love the feeling of never touching icky dog poop again! Plus you’ll rest easy knowing you are safe from gross and sometimes deadly bacteria! You can find the Dispoz-A-Scoop in stores nationwide or you can buy them online!
Dispoz-A-Scoop is the best pooper scooper in the world. Patented and produced in the USA, user-friendly Dispoz-A-Scoop is a sanitary and civilized way to clean up dog waste that is more eco-friendly than traditional dog waste pick up methods. Click here to learn more about how Dispoz-A-Scoops were born.
Would you like to see more neighbors, park visitors and others pick up their dogs’ poop? Purchase our dog waste dispenser—complete with a no-nonsense dog sign—and buy Dispoz-A-Scoops in money-saving bulk quantities.
Discovering a hands-free method has convinced many dog poop delinquents to start picking up!
VitaGravy provides an “ounce of prevention” for Yorkie health
Posted by penina in HealthPro Buddies, HealthPro Treats, Pet science, VitaGravy on April 19, 2012
Roberta Carmean, an esteemed HealthPro customer and Yorkshire Terrier owner, sent us this valuable tip to help prevent or soothe tracheal collapse, an ailment common to these tiny, fragile dogs.
She sent us an article she contributed to in the Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue Newsletter (YTNR) by Penny Case. Penny’s article says, first and foremost: “NO COLLARS! NONE.” Instead, owners are advised to use a harness so that there is nothing around their necks. The article also suggests small dogs may benefit from a joint supplement containing glucosamine and hyaluronic acid (HA) to strengthen the cartilage tissue of the trachea.
And here’s Roberta’s creative, non-drug tip for soothing dogs with tracheal collapse:
She says her five-year-old, 5-pound Yorkie has the typical tiny trachea that makes her “quack, honk, or sound like a little pig” when she goes for a walk on a humid, hot or moist day. Prescription Guaifenesin cough suppressant didn’t work, and Hydrocodone can only be prescribed in a liquid that is hard to hide.
The solution:
She licks an ice cube and it goes away!
Roberta took it further by trying to find a “dog gravy” to put in the ice cube tray, and that’s when she discovered VitaGravy, with various healthy benefits, including Skin & Coat, Hip & Joint and Immunity & Digestion.
She says they’re a little hard to pop out of the tray sometimes, but you just use a butter knife. She holds the “gravy cube” for her dog in a potholder (so her hand doesn’t get too cold) while she licks it, and sometimes just puts it in a little bowl.
Roberta says she hopes all new Yorkie owners know that collars are a definite don’t, and harnesses are the best. She’s even gone up to strangers and told them not to walk their Yorkie in a collar! Even knowing that, it wasn’t enough to prevent her own dog from getting the problem… but Boo Boo will be glad to know that she has helped her fellow doggie friends!
Lapdog Creations Reviews Luther’s Natural Pet Treats
Posted by penina in HealthPro Treats, Luther's, Reviews on April 16, 2012
We’re proud to announce that we got TWENTY PAWS UP from Nichole of Lapdog Creations!
Actually, the maximum paws a product should get is normally 16, but Nichole had a foster pooch over (Sake, who’s since found her forever home!) who weighed in, as well. Lucky us, heh…
We were really impressed by the research she did, the time she took to tell the whole story of Luther (the canine inspiration behind our top-selling treats), and the thoughtful comments she made about their healthy benefits for dogs. Imagine, then, what an honor it was to hear that her whole dog family loved them, and that we’ve got a new customer for life!
Head on over the the Lapdog Creations review to get the juicy details, and cash in on the special discount code for readers who purchase HealthPro Nutrition products from our site by May 31, 2012.
Thanks again, Nichole!
VitaShot Report: Great Customer Feedback!
We just got back from a trip up to Fresno last weekend, and were delighted to be approached by many customers who wanted to tell us how much they love our newest product, VitaShot™ Daily Vitamin Boost for Dogs!
We went up to Whitie’s Pets on Saturday to hand out coupons during their big sale event. The coupons were for free samples of VitaShot. We decked out a table with balloons (provided by Balloon Decor of Central California—owner Cathy Lopez is awesome! creative! professional!!), and spent four hours meeting our Fresno fans.
It’s always a little scary to introduce a brand new product, even when we know we’ve done our absolute best to make it a premium product using only top quality ingredients. So imagine how great it felt to be approached by happy pet owners!
One woman told us her 60 lb. dog hadn’t been able to get up on the sofa for the past year, but after two weeks of adding VitaShot 5 and Up to his food, he is getting up and down with ease. In fact, he’s back to their favorite pastime: watching TV together on the couch!
Another said their chihuahua had been hobbling, and not walking well. Now, the hobble is gone.
Others had similar stories, and they let us know how glad they were to have found a product that made such a difference for their best friends’ health.
You can buy VitaShot ONLY through local, independent pet professionals, or online (for now, our online store carries only VitaShot 5 and Up, but if you are in the Central Valley, click here to find out which of your neighborhood independent pet stores carries all the VitaShot lines).
